Geo Veritas

About Us

Our identity

Geo Veritas is a specialized center dedicated to the verification, traceability, and protection of minerals that are stolen, missing, or of uncertain provenance.
It was created by combining legal, scientific, and documentary expertise developed in the fields of mineral collecting, academic research, and international due diligence.
Our work is built on one clear idea: every mineral has a story.
Our role is to reconstruct it, protect it, and ensure its proper circulation.

Our mission

The mission of Geo Veritas is to make the mineral market more transparent, secure, and responsible.

We do this through three core actions:

01.

Professional provenance verification

We examine minerals and collections using rigorous documentary methods, cross-checking internal data, institutional archives, and specialist resources.
Each verification helps prevent the circulation of stolen, disputed, or obscurely sourced material.

02.

Registration and protection of stolen or missing specimens

We give owners the ability to officially document theft or loss through a system that allows long-term monitoring of possible reappearances on the market.

03.

Recovery and assistance in complex cases

We support collectors, museums, foundations, insurance companies, and authorities in the identification and restitution of stolen minerals.
When appropriate, we act as technical-documentary mediators to facilitate fair and verifiable solutions.

Geo veritas

Our approach

The Geo Veritas method is based on five values that guide every verification:

Rigor

Each piece of data is checked using clear documentary criteria, comparative analysis, and forensic methodology.

Traceability

Every case is assigned a unique code and securely archived, ensuring continuity and verifiability over time.

Confidentiality

Information received from clients is protected and shared only when necessary and with authorization or legal obligation.

Collaboration

We work with collectors, museums, auction houses, fairs, researchers, law enforcement, and international institutions to protect mineral heritage collectively

Independence

Geo Veritas does not buy, sell, or broker minerals.
This ensures complete impartiality in our assessments and analyses.

Who we serve

Our services are designed for:

  • private collectors
  • dealers, galleries, and traders
  • auction houses and mineral fairs
  • museums, universities, and scientific institutions
  • insurance companies
  • experts and consultants
  • judicial and customs authorities

We support both pre-acquisition due diligence and the evaluation of complex provenance cases.

What makes Geo Veritas different

  • A database dedicated exclusively to minerals – we are not an art archive with a mineral section, but a center created entirely for this field.
  • Verified data – every case is checked against institutional databases, historical archives, and specialist resources.
  • Streamlined yet robust procedures – clear forms, a fast process, and fully documented outcomes.
  • Support in recovery cases – we provide technical and legal assistance up to the return of the specimen.
  • Cooperation with authorities – sensitive cases are handled through confidential protocols and formal information exchanges.

Our commitment

Geo Veritas works to promote a more transparent and responsible market, where every mineral can circulate safely and with its history properly documented.
Transparency protects collectors.
Traceability protects the market.
Knowledge protects the history of each specimen.

This is our mission.
This is Geo Veritas.

Geo Veritas operates according to principles of rigor, traceability, and transparency.

Our goal is to protect the market and ensure that every mineral – historical or contemporary – is accompanied by clear and verifiable provenance.
